Midwinter Mulled Red
Infuses 750ml of Wine / Makes 6+ Drinks
MIDWINTER MULLED RED ~ if the holiday season has a smell (which I guess it kind of does), this is it. Over the winter period in much of northwestern Europe, holiday gatherings are often made all the more cheery with a batch of warmed red wine fortified with spices and citrus. This one is based on a family recipe handed down by our founder's Swedish grandmother. Definitely best with a full-bodied, fruit-forward red wine and maybe a little nip of brandy or Swedish aquavit to turn things up a little. Skal!
1PT MULLED WHITE INFUSION...
Infusion Time: 20-30 minutes
Ingredients: Orange Zest, Cinnamon, Ginger, Cardamom, Clove, Allspice, Elderberries
Contains no sugar, gluten, dairy, GMO, or any artificial additives
MAKING THIS COCKTAIL AT HOME...
Combine sweet red wine and 1pt Mulled Red Blend and honey/sugar (to taste) and/or Brandy/Aquavit (optional) in medium saucepan. Gently warm, stirring occasionally for 20-30 minutes. Do not boil. Strain the 1pt blend and serve into cups from saucepan over lowest heat. Garnish with slice of orange and cinnamon stick.
