1pt Midwinter Mulled Red Recipe
1pt Midwinter Mulled Red
This mulled red wine is winter’s ultimate comfort, dark and inviting, like a leather armchair pulled close to the fire. Based on a family recipe handed down by our founder's Swedish grandmother, rich red wine melds with cinnamon, orange zest, ginger, and cardamom, creating a spiced warmth that fills the air and wraps around you. Perfect for cozy nights in or sharing with friends, this mulled wine recipe is easy to batch, bringing bold, aromatic depth to any winter gathering. And if you’re craving an extra layer, a splash of brandy or aquavit takes it up a notch, amplifying its robust flavor. For those going alcohol-free, the mocktail version—with cranberry juice—captures the same warming essence without the wine. Skal!
STEP 1 - Mull Your Wine
Combine 750ml of a fruity red wine with one (1) packet of 1pt Mulled Red Blend in a saucepan over medium-low heat to warm (do not boil), mulling for 20-30 minutes. While mulling, add sugar or equivalent to taste as you go. Consider fortifying with a third to a half cup of brandy or Swedish aquavit. Strain the 1pt blend and return mulled wine to saucepan over lowest heat for serving. (Mulled wine may be kept for a prolonged period in the fridge)
1pt Mulled Red Infusion Blend Ingredients:
Orange Zest, Cinnamon, Ginger, Cardamom, Clove, Allspice, Elderberries - no sugar, gluten, dairy, nuts, additives, or preservatives
Mocktail* Version:
Substitute non-alcoholic wine or cranberry juice for the alcohol in this infusion and follow the same steps. (Non-alcoholic infusions should be refrigerated and used within 30 days)

- Classic & Comforting: Roasted rosemary potatoes with a sprinkle of sea salt, simple and earthy to complement the deep, spiced wine.
- Elevated & Elegant: Charred lamb skewers with a hint of cumin, adding a savory, smoky depth that balances the warm sweetness of the mulled wine.
