1pt Primavera Recipe
1pt Primavera
Primavera takes the classic Gin Sour and layers it with the elegance of spring in bloom. Gin infused with rose petals, white peony, hibiscus, and lavender brings a floral depth that’s as refreshing as a spring breeze. Fresh lemon juice adds brightness, a touch of simple syrup keeps it balanced, and an optional egg white gives it a silky finish. Ideal for gatherings with easy batching, and a mocktail option just as vibrant, it’s the perfect way to toast the season.
STEP 1 - Easy All-Natural Infusion
Infuse Your Spirit:
Combine a 1pt Bouquet Infusion Blend Packet with 375ml of gin in any lidded container. Let it infuse for 4-5 hours, then strain, and reserve the infused spirit for your cocktails. (No need to refrigerate - infused spirits can be stored indefinitely at room temperature)
1pt Bouquet Infusion Blend Ingredients:
Rose Petal, White Peony, Chamomile, Hibiscus, Lavender - no sugar, gluten, dairy, nuts, additives, or preservatives
Mocktail* Version:
Substitute water or a zero-proof spirit for the alcohol in this infusion and follow the same steps. (Non-alcoholic infusions should be refrigerated and used within 30 days)
STEP 2 - Mix Your Drink
Ingredient | Cocktail (1) | Batch (6+) |
---|---|---|
1pt Bouquet-infused Gin* | 2.0 oz | 375ml |
Fresh Lemon Juice | 1.0 oz | 6 oz |
Simple Syrup | 0.5 oz | 3 oz |
Mixing Instructions:
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake until chilled. Strain into a suitable glass - “up” or over ice. If including the optional egg white to create that frothy layer, "dry shake" all ingredients together before adding ice, then add ice and shake again. For batching, do not shake. Instead, combine all ingredients in a pitcher with ice (adding 4 oz of water to mimic the dilution you usually get from shaking) and serve as normal.
Garnish:
Garnish with a dried rose bud to enhance the floral aroma and presentation.
STEP 3 - Enjoy!
For an Added Twist:
Add a splash of elderflower liqueur to accentuate the floral notes and add a layer of complexity.
Food Pairing Suggestions:
Cocktails shine especially brightly alongside appetizers that bring out their full range of flavors. For this cocktail, try these ideas based on the vibe you’re going for:
- Simple & Satisfying: Goat cheese crostini with a drizzle of honey and a sprinkle of fresh thyme—light, creamy, and subtly sweet to complement the cocktail's floral notes.
- Classic & Comforting: Endive cups filled with a citrusy crab salad and garnished with fresh dill, providing a bright, refreshing bite that pairs beautifully with the gin’s botanicals.
- Elevated & Elegant: Mini herb tarts with whipped ricotta and fresh chives, capturing the cocktail’s garden-inspired flavors with a soft, herbal twist.
