1pt Michelada Picante Recipe
1pt Michelada Picante
The height of refreshment – bright lime, a hint of heat, and grounding umami savory notes all embedded within the cold, crisp embrace of a light summer beer. It’s bold but effortless – like a perfect afternoon at the beach, when the sun just seems to hang in the sky and nothing feels rushed. This effortless cocktail is perfect for batching and can easily transform into a mocktail for any occasion.
STEP 1 - Easy All-Natural Infusion
Infuse Your Spirit:
Combine a 1pt Bloody Infusion Blend Packet with 375ml of Tequila in any lidded container. Let it infuse for 5-6 hours, then strain, and reserve the infused spirit for your cocktails. (No need to refrigerate - infused spirits can be stored indefinitely at room temperature)
1pt Bloody Infusion Blend Ingredients:
Celery, Rosehip, Ancho Chili, Turmeric, Black Peppercorn, Lemon Zest, Garlic
Mocktail* Version:
Substitute water or a zero-proof spirit for the alcohol in this infusion and use an NA beer but otherwise follow the same steps. (Non-alcoholic infusions should be refrigerated and used within 30 days)
STEP 2 - Mix Your Drink
Ingredient | Cocktail (1) | Batch (6+) |
---|---|---|
1pt Bloody-infused Tequila* | 2.0 oz | 375ml |
Tomato or V8 Juice | 2.0 oz | 12 oz |
Fresh Lime Juice | 0.5 oz | 3 oz |
Mexican-style Beer* | Top | 48 oz |
Mixing Instructions:
Combine all ingredients except the beer in a shaker with ice and shake until chilled. Strain into a salt-rimmed glass over ice, then top with beer. For batching, pre-chill the infused tequila, tomato juice, and lime juice and combine in a pitcher (without ice) and serve as normal. Top with beer upon serving.
Garnish:
Garnish with a lime wedge or chili pepper and a dash of your preferred hot sauce along with a classic salt rim to enhance the cocktail's zesty and spicy profile.
STEP 3 - Enjoy!
For an Added Twist:
Add a splash of cucumber juice for a cooling twist that balances the cocktail’s heat and savory notes.
